BioUtah, the University of Utah’s PIVOT Center and BioHive Announce Headline Speakers for 2023 Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneur & Investor Life Sciences Summit

Head of Global Investment Opportunities Group of J.P. Morgan, Monica DiCenso, to address the state of the market and healthcare innovation at the March 16-17 premier Utah life sciences event.

Salt Lake City, Utah - January 23 - BioUtah, Utah’s trade association dedicated to the life sciences, in partnership with the University of Utah’s Partners for Innovation, Ventures, Outreach & Technology (PIVOT) Center and BioHive today announced its preliminary agenda and distinguished keynote speaker, J.P. Morgan’s Monica DiCenso, for the 2023 Entrepreneur & Investor Life Sciences Summit (E&I Summit) to be held March 16-17. Ms. DiCenso is the managing director and head of Global Investment Opportunities Group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. This year’s summit is sponsored by Wilson Sonsini.

“Ms. DiCenso’s expertise on market dynamics, particularly in this time of economic uncertainty, will help set the stage for the two-day E&I Summit and shed light on the investment environment and outlook for the life sciences,” said Keith Marmer, chief innovation and economic engagement officer for the University of Utah.

Also taking center stage will be top-tier CEOs of innovative Utah life sciences companies, including Dan Lemaitre of Bluewind Medical and David Bearss of Halia Therapeutics. These executives and others will share their well-honed perspectives on building a life sciences company.

Principals from national venture capital firms as well as leaders of Utah’s local investment community will discuss what it takes for early-stage companies to attract capital. A dedicated networking session will provide attendees an opportunity to make valuable contacts. The E&I Summit will once again hold its popular Pitch Competition with six companies selected to pitch their product before a slate of seasoned judges. Information on all applicant companies will be available on the E&I website.
